the reload 2026
All wrapped and now looking ahead to 2027!
On Friday 16 May 2026, we proudly hosted The Reload at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre — bringing together frontline workers, veterans, emergency services personnel and supporters from across South Australia for a day focused on wellbeing, resilience and reconnection.
Designed specifically for those who work in high-pressure, high-consequence environments, The Reload created a space where attendees could step away from the demands of operational life and invest in their own mental health, physical wellbeing and sense of community.
The event welcomed a diverse audience including police officers, paramedics, firefighters, correctional officers, emergency department staff, veterans and volunteers — many of whom spend their careers supporting others while often neglecting their own wellbeing in the process.
Throughout the day, attendees heard from a range of respected speakers and lived-experience advocates who shared practical tools, honest conversations and personal insights into navigating stress, trauma, identity and recovery both during and after frontline service.
The atmosphere throughout the event was one of openness, authenticity and camaraderie. Conversations that are often difficult to have in workplace settings occurred naturally between attendees, reinforcing one of the Foundation’s core beliefs: that connection and community are critical protective factors for frontline mental health.
Event MC, comedian Merrick Watts delivered hard-hitting laughs that perfectly balanced some of the heavier content.
The Foundation extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to making the day such a success, along with the speakers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who helped bring the event to life.
Special thanks also go to event partners and supporters including:
- Police Association of South Australia
- Police Credit Union
- Police Health
- Australian Partners of Defence.
- Frontline Yoga
- Frontline Mental Health
The overwhelmingly positive feedback received following the event has reinforced the ongoing need for initiatives that support the people who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving the community.
The Reload was more than a conference — it was a reminder that frontline workers are not alone, and that investing in wellbeing, connection and shared experience is essential for long-term resilience.
The Aussie Frontline Foundation looks forward to continuing this important work and building even greater opportunities for support, education and connection into the future.
WHAT DOES OUR 2027 event LOOK LIKE?
Yet to be determined!
In the meantime, here’s some photos of this years conference.

Reviews.
‘My name is ****** and I’m one of the first responders from the Wieambilla shooting. I was lucky enough to get one of your shirts sent to us along with the others involved. It’s in a box with a few other mementos from that day. It’s a prized possession. To think people from all over the place thought of us is really moving. You do amazing work and you should be seriously proud. My colleagues and I were talking about how we are behind Aussie Frontline and what you are doing. I can’t thank you enough for the support from you and your community’.
‘Hello legends, ***** got his shirt in the mail today. It arrived just at the right time and has lifted his spirits massively! I thought I’d send you his words – “Got a delivery today. Dude, this is freaken awesome. I really appreciate this and all of your support since I asked for help! I will wear it with pride, and will hopefully one day pass on the love to someone else when they need it! You’re the best!”
‘Well, I opened my locker to find a little parcel that included one of your shirts and a personalised note to go with it. Well, I had a quiet little bawl to myself in the locker room, and whilst I felt emotional, it was a nice reminder of the good people who have my back at work, and a reminder that the vast majority of us are in this together and are good people. I just wanted to share that I appreciate this cause and what it stands for’.
‘I was getting ready to go for a walk today and I was just so nervous to leave the house. I looked at my Aussie Frontline shirt and put it on. I felt so fucking good. I literally felt like all of these brothers and sisters had my back. I went out for a half an hour walk and even though I was in a fair bit of pain, I just felt pushed and supported to keep going. It was the most amazing feeling I bawled my eyes out when I got home. This stuff is absolutely life changing’.
‘I was recently nominated and received a Pay it Forward shirt. Opening the package and seeing the sticker on the wrapping made my eyes well up and I felt this feeling of being proud and supported. It’s hard to describe in words, but I was proud as the day I walked off the parade ground’.
‘When I was going through a tough time I received a Pay it Forward shirt! It made me realise I wasn’t alone. I have since reached out and chatted to the team at Aussie Frontline and they were able to put me in touch with someone to chat about life outside of the police. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You don’t know how much you helped. One team. one family!’
